Welcome To C.C. Lab (Cartoonist Cocoon Lab) Visitors.

I am your humble blog host and creator Ycrem0 (Yaa-Crim Ze-row). Hoping everyone is in good health and spirit at this time. Here is a brief introduction about me that may seem a bit long-winded, my apologizes in advance.

Jamesville NC in the 90s is where I remember living, until after my 6th birthday. Watching TV with some outside play was about as much as I had growing up for a long time, so cartoons have been my first love as entertainment goes. When I was staying with my dad, he had a bunch of VHS tapes recordings of Sci-fi, Westerns, & some martial arts mostly that I was around to watch tons of. He had the outdoors or country living lifestyle, kind-of the old school parents. Mom had her soap operas for many years, which I only got slightly into watching later on in life when nothing else was entertaining on TV.

There were not many people I associated with growing up, so being to myself was kind of the norm. I did not grow-up reading much or knowing anything about the animation process or in-depth understanding of all that I enjoyed at the time. Moving to Williamston NC allowed me to meet a cousin of mine who introduced me to anime (Japanese Animation), which I had experienced without knowing from $1 VHS tapes called Robo Formers ( Robo Formers VHS - Starfire ). There was possibly other classic anime I had watched before; except I was unaware of all the production details as a kid.

During that time of classic Toonami (Sailor Moon, Outlaw Star, Dragon Ball Z, Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo!, ect), my cousin was interested in drawing, Gunpla or figure kits, anime video games, and classic anime in general in possibly early 2000s. All of that exposure amplified my love for animated content and my interest with Japanese animation, video games, and art increased from there. During my schooling, I would pursue computer courses that I thought would sooner or later teach me how to produce animated content. Unfortunately, that only happened briefly in a high school Computer Application course with one lady teacher who shared animation with the class from old PowerPoint projects other people did.

While all that time passed with the pursuit of art, anime, animation, computer courses, video games, and finally comic books or manga (Japanese Comic Books) to be exact. I learned about manga from my cousin's group of friends as well as some people who became old buddies from my past now too. His friends that somewhat became my buddies too were into trading card games or at least Yu-Gi-Oh! heavily for a while. Therefore, I even got into some trading card collecting like Pokémon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragon Ball Z, and Duel Masters at some point for years too.

Above and beyond all of those memories as well as pursuits, I had created material that is now lost or destroyed as the interest still lives on today. Like anyone else living through this experience called Life, I had my rollercoaster ups and downs that tried to block/diminish personal accomplishments as well as rub in the seeming sense of failure to amount to what others deem as success or failure. Either way, the dreams, goals, passions, interest, inspiration, love, and efforts to rekindle or keep that flickering flame lit for the fun that is the creative process alive are still present within me. Hopefully, that will not change anytime soon.

I graduated from high school as the last class of Tigers in 2009 from Williamston High School, went to Williamston Community College for more computer skill learning while earning transferable credits, and Chowan University was the last schooling I had since 2013 with a Graphic Design major without any graduation due to family funding situation. Long streak of unemployment and not amassing a bunch of schooling honors has not changed anything for me as other supportive activities in life has been blessed unto me for years now, even though I had no idea that graduation let alone adulthood was in my future during a past time.

Without going further in-depth about specifics of my life experiences, what I have shared is mostly the backbone of how life has progressed for me till now that sprouted this creative quest. Hopefully, this is enough about me that gives you an idea of where I began, some middle-growth, and space to see what the future holds.

Thank you for sticking around or visiting my blog as I am hoping to inspire others who may be plowing through their personal quest/journey too. All the best with your pursuits, efforts, and goals! Take care.
